Simon Fraser University has multiple campuses in the Vancouver area. The conference is being held at the Vancouver campus which is smaller downtown near Waterfront station. The conference is not at the main Burnbay campus

Hotels
We have secured a limited number of rooms with favourable pricing at the following hotels. We recommend that you book a hotel as soon as you decide that you are coming to the PostgreSQL Development Conference. There are other conferences taking place in Vancouver at the same time and we expect hotel prices to rise as we get closer to the conference date.
Sutton Place Hotel
The Sutton Place Hotel at 845 Burrard Street is offering a rate of $319(CAD) plus taxes and fees for a renovated room with 1 king sized bed. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the conference venue. This is a very good rate for downtown Vancouver and we expect the block of rooms at this rate to sell out quickly.
Exchange Hotel Vancouver
The Exchange Hotel Vancouver at 475 Howe St is located in the former Vancouver Stock Exchange building is offering a rate of $399(CAD) plus taxes and fees. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the conference venue.
The St. Regis Hotel
The St. Regis Hotel at 602 Dunsmuir Street is a 100% Canadian owned, independent and heritage property. Located within Vancouver’s central business and banking district which is within walking distance from the Convention Centres, Rogers Arena, Pacific Centre Mall. The hotel is offering a group rate of $449 + taxes. Reservations must be made prior to March 30 2024.

There are also other hotels near the the venue. We recommend you book a hotel as soon as you have decided to attend the conference.
Travel
Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is the closest airport and has flights to many international destinations.
Canada Line from YVR to the Conference
The best way to get from Vancouver International Airport to the Conference is to take the Canada Line(Skytrain) from the airport to Waterfront station. The Harbour Centre is directly across the sreet from the Waterfront train station
Canada Line from YVR to the Hotels
The best way to get from Vancouver International Airport to the Sutton Place, Exchange or St. Regis hotels is to take the Canada Line(Skytrain) from the airport to Vancouver City Centre station. The hotels are few blocks away from the train station

U.S. Citizens or permanent residents
U.S. Citizen must have a valid passport to enter Canada. U.S. lawful permanent residents must have the documents described here
Electronic Travel Authorization(eTA)
Visitors from visa-exempt countries need to apply for an eTa. The eTa site contains instructions for applying for an eTa. There is a fee for this but most applications are approved quickly.
